Our Mission
The Learning Coop will provide a full-time or part-time individualized learning program for students transitioning or positioned as homeschool students. We are a homeschool collective of families (also known as a hybrid enrichment program where families collectively outsource high-quality individual instruction either full-time or part-time.
The Learning Coop provides resources and experiences for students to enhance their skills and abilities for a joyful and successful childhood. Through the combined efforts of staff, parents, and the community, our students will achieve success. Our students will reach their highest possible level of academic and social development.

Get To Know The Learning Coop
At The Learning Coop, we offer a refreshing approach to education, combining the best of homeschooling flexibility with the enriching environment of a classroom setting. We're passionate about creating a joyful and supportive learning community where every child thrives.
Ages and Grade Levels
We welcome learners of various ages! Our program caters to elementary students in kindergarten through sixth grade (ages 5-12). For our junior high students (ages 12-14), we offer a dynamic online learning format using the Bob Jones University curriculum.
Learning Environment
The Learning Coop is located at Dunnville Baptist Church, nestled conveniently off Highway 63 between Bloomfield and Ottumwa. Our learning environment is designed to be welcoming, engaging, and supportive of every child's unique needs.
School Hours & Schedule
Our school year kicks off on the Tuesday following Labor Day and wraps up towards the end of May. School hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. To keep learning going strong, students bring home a skills folder each Thursday to work on over the weekend.
Curriculum Highlights
For our elementary students, we've crafted a unique curriculum that blends hands-on activities, project-based learning, and individualized instruction. Our junior high students benefit from the comprehensive Bob Jones University curriculum, with support and guidance from our dedicated staff.
